Conversations, Capital, and the Quiet Soul
Weekend Musings from Ashton
Hey friends,
This week on the Good / True / & Beautiful podcast, I had the honor of sitting down with Jen Pastiloff. You may have recently heard her on the Rich Roll Podcast — and for good reason. She’s a force of honesty and presence. In our conversation, we talk about the art of listening to your life, living in alignment, and the gentle work of finding a life that lights you up. You can listen to it here:

Also — wild times in the tech world. Meta and Microsoft released their quarterly earnings reports this week… and within minutes, they collectively added $500 billion in market cap value. To put that into perspective, that’s more total value than 475 of the S&P 500 companies individually hold.
And while numbers like that can leave you breathless, Zuckerberg also released a bold vision for where Meta is headed — a future guided by Superintelligence. His letter reads like science fiction meets strategy memo:
🧠 Zuckerberg’s Superintelligence Vision
My take? These innovations are going to radically change our roles… but the soul? The soul will still be shaped by rivers, sunsets, slow mornings, friends, mystery, and beauty.
Lastly, a friend recently sent me a book that somehow had never crossed my path:
There Are Men Too Gentle to Live Among Wolves by James Kavanaugh.
It’s a book that doesn’t just speak to the reader — it reads your life back to you. From childhood to adulthood, it walks with you in memory and imagination. One piece that moved me deeply is titled "Little Boy, I Miss You." (I’ve attached a photo of it below.) If you’re looking for something to soften your morning and stir your soul, this is it.

Carry on,
Ashton
